The mounting bolts fasten onto the pintle hitch and provide 48,000 pounds of clamp pressure when fully torqued. If you need to adjust the height, you only need one tool, and there's no disassembly required. Just loosen the nuts enough to allow the pintle hitch to slide up or down in the slotted channels. The slots also provide more precise levelling versus fixed height positions.These pintle plates fit into any industry-standard 2" or 2-1/2-inch receiver hitch and offers versatile height adjustment for level towing. The plate measures 9-1/2 to 10-5/8 inches high and 5 inches wide (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc).
